The Eric Gill Series

Set In Joanna Sans Nova|

The Eric Gill Series is a collection of 77 fonts in three families: Gill Sans® Nova, Joanna® Nova and Joanna Sans Nova. All the typefaces are derived from the original work of the influential British artist Eric Gill (1882-1940), acclaimed in his lifetime as a sculptor, letter-cutter and type designer. These are contemporary digital typefaces – with a wide range of weights, alternate characters and extended language support – that pay homage to Gill’s original designs.|

About The Designer

head shot of Terrance

Born in Minnesota, schooled across Michigan, and trained in Chicago, Terrance Weinzierl ‘fell in love with type’ while studying graphic design at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. He has designed several retail typefaces, but most of his time is devoted to custom typefaces for companies like Microsoft, Barnes & Noble and Domino’s (the Pizza Press typeface). He frequently speaks at events such as TypeCon, AIGA and the Game Developers Conference about type design and typography. Weinzierl has been designing typefaces for Monotype since 2008.
